'Everything is possible with God'
Eco Council
The School Eco Council meets regularly, with children leading the initiatives they complete in school, with support from Mr Casey and other adults in school.
Members include:
Chair: Phoebe Read
Millie Bainbridge (Year 6 - also gathers ideas from Reception), Connie Stott and Lola Parker (Year 5 - also gathers ideas from Year 1), Jack Burney and Sabrina Wright (Year 4), Joshua Darlaston, Oscar Read (Year 3), Annabelle Kelly, Louie Syddall and Seth Weaver (Year 2).
In the past year projects including recycling, providing areas of habitat for local wildlife, maintaining public awareness, planting trees, plants, fruit and vegetables and flowers in our surrounding areas (Including RSPB Dovestone Reservoir), creating school compost and other eco based schemes have led to our school's first award from Eco Schools.
We now have the award of a Green Flag with merit. This sits alongside the previously awarded RHS Level 5 gardening award.
Our school Eco pledge is:
One World, One chance, Let's play our part.
